Celebrating Collaboration and Impact: digiTED’s Final Events at PH Ludwigsburg

As the Erasmus+ funded digiTED Project – “Promoting the Digitalisation Among Teacher Educators in Europe” officially comes to a close, two meaningful final events took place in January 2025 at the University of Education Ludwigsburg, each highlighting the project’s collaborative spirit, innovative results, and lasting impact on teacher education across Europe.

On January 20, 2025, the Bild- und Theaterzentrum (BTZ) at PH Ludwigsburg came alive with music, conversation, and celebration as the digiTED team hosted its official closing event. Around 30 participants — including faculty, students, and European partners — gathered to reflect on three years of groundbreaking work in digital teacher education.

Event Highlights:

  • Presentation of Project Results: Key partners showcased the tools, strategies, and outputs developed throughout the project, providing an insightful look at digital professional development and the power of transnational collaboration.

  • Workshops and Networking: Participants took part in interactive sessions, exchanging best practices and engaging in forward-looking dialogue about the future of digitalisation in education.

  • Live Music by the digiTED Allstars: A highlight of the evening was a performance by the digiTED Allstars — a band made up of project participants and partners. Their lively concert brought a festive and personal touch to the event, celebrating not only the project’s achievements but the friendships formed along the way.

Even with modest funding, the event was a resounding success — a testament to the dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit of everyone involved.

The celebrations continued the next day with a more hands-on and practice-oriented event. On January 21, 2025, the digiTED team held its third Multiplier Event at OPS Freiberg, a local school . The event aimed to bring digiTED’s work directly into schools, engaging 20 in-service teachers across various subject areas.

Key Activities:

  • Testing Developed Materials: Participants had the opportunity to explore and test teaching resources created during the project — including materials adapted from the Innovation Weeks.

  • Interactive Workshops: Hands-on sessions were tailored to meet the school’s specific needs, following two preparatory visits to ensure alignment with participants’ expectations and available infrastructure.

  • Constructive Feedback and Dialogue: Teachers shared valuable input on how the resources could be implemented and even expressed interest in sustained collaboration, signalling a meaningful step towards long-term impact.

This event successfully extended digiTED’s reach beyond universities, generating excitement, feedback, and potential partnerships — a testament to the project’s aim of making digital transformation a shared, accessible journey.
